Represented ACRES Capital in connection with the assignment and assumption from an existing borrower/seller to a new borrower/purchaser and conversion of a construction loan into a mortgage loan in the amount of $57.7 million as a result of the sale of The Ray Hotel Delray Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 141-room hotel, located in Delray Beach, FL.

Gehr Group – $80 Million Hotel Refinance – Manhattan

Represented Gehr Group in the $80 million refinancing of the 244-key Fairfield Inn & Suites located at 330 West 40th Street in Manhattan. 

Sale of “Billionaire’s Row” Residential Building – Manhattan

Represented APF LLC in the sale of a “Billionaire's Row” residential building on 57th Street in Manhattan. 

Preferred Equity Investment – LargaVista Companies – Florida

Represented an affiliate of LargaVista Companies in connection with a preferred equity investment in an entity affiliated with Baron Property Group that owns a property located in Hialeah, Florida.

Valley National Bank – Refinance & Construction Loans – Florida

Represented Valley National Bank in connection with the $28.6 million refinancing of a land loan secured by property located in Davie, Florida. Concurrently with the closing of the refinance, the sponsor, El-Ad Group, subdivided the property, and Valley extended a $85 million construction loan to finance the development of the first phase of the project. 

$43.5 Million Bridge Refinancing – LargaVista Companies & Baron Property Group – The Park Overture, NY

Represented a joint venture between LargaVista Companies and Baron Property Group in connection with a $43.5 million bridge refinancing of its recently developed multifamily property located at 4568 Broadway, NYC known as The Park Overture.

$500 Million Development – LargaVista Companies & Baron Property Group – Long Island City, NY

Represented a joint venture between LargaVista Companies and Baron Property Group in connection with the development, acquisition, joint venture and $388.3 million construction financing of a mixed-use project located at 30-25 Queens Boulevard in Long Island City, New York. The financing consisted of a construction loan, senior mezzanine loan and junior mezzanine loan.

Israeli Debt Fund – $29 Million Portfolio Purchase

Represented an Israeli debt fund in the $29 million purchase of a portfolio of performing construction loans located in New York City.

Joint Venture Sale of a Resort Hotel – Sedona, AZ

Represented a joint venture in the sale of a resort hotel in Sedona. The sale also included the land under thirty-three villa timeshares, land in different municipalities and the resolution of lot boundary issues with a neighboring land owner.

Private Investment Fund $33.4 Million Construction Loan – Portland, CT

Represented private investment fund in a $33.4 million construction loan for a property in Portland, CT. The structure of local zoning approvals required the formation of a commercial condominium in order to separate the existing financed project and the additional collateral.

Maxx Properties – Acquisition & Financing – Las Vegas, Nevada

Represented Maxx Properties in their acquisition, financing and 1031 exchange for Madison at Spring Valley, a 168-unit multifamily community in Las Vegas.

Prominent NYC Developer – Massachusetts Warehouse Acquisition

Represented a prominent New York City developer in connection with a $37 million purchase of an industrial property located at 94-104 Glenn Street, Lawrence, MA, which houses a warehouse facility.

Niagara Falls Hotel – Acquisition & Operation Agreements

Represented a foreign investor in the acquisition and financing and operational and managerial aspects of a brand name located in Niagara Falls, NY.

Hotel Acquisition & Operation Agreements – Lenox, MA

Represented a group of private investors on the acquisition of an inn in Lenox, MA and related operational agreements, including hotel management agreements.

Wythe Berry Fee Owner LLC – Debtor in Chapter 11

Represented debtor in Chapter 11 proceeding involving the William Vale Hotel, a luxury hotel in Brooklyn. This matter began as a commercial lease dispute and evolved into a multifaceted adversarial proceeding that came to a close with the $177 million sale of the hotel pursuant to plan of reorganization. This resulted in a rare Chapter 11 case where all creditors were paid in full. 654 B.R. 524 (Bankr. S.D.N.Y. 2024) and 660 B.R. 534 (Bankr. S.D.N.Y. 2024).

First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company – $52.3 Million Construction Loan – Florida

Represented First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company in connection with a $52.3 million construction loan to a joint venture comprised of Wheelock Street Capital and Foundry Commercial for the construction of an industrial building located at 3800 S. Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach, FL.

Bank Hapoalim – $165 Million Manhattan Acquisition & Construction Loan – Manhattan, NY

Represented Bank Hapoalim as senior co-lender in a $165 million acquisition and construction loan to Moinian Group for the construction of mixed-use residential and hotel property at 7 Platt Street in Manhattan.

Sky Harbour Group – Financing & Ground Leasing for Aviation Hangers – Texas

Represented Sky Harbour Group in connection with its ground lease of development parcels at Sugar Land Regional Airport in Sugar Land, Texas, for private aviation hangars as well as the construction financing for the hangars.

MLA Properties – Retail Lease – Sanford, North Carolina

Represented MLA Properties in a retail lease to Spectrum Communications at The Shops at Cameron Place in Sanford, NC.
