Herrick Announces New Partners for 2025
Herrick is pleased to announce the elevation of Theresa Fortin Balducci, Justin Blass, Robert Huberman and Kamilla B. Rodrigues to partner. Their promotions will become effective January 1, 2025.

2025 Partners
Theresa Fortin Balducci, a partner in the Private Clients Department, focuses her practice on estate and tax planning, advising clients of ultra-high net worth to those of modest wealth. Theresa routinely represents fiduciaries in Surrogate’s Court proceedings and advises individuals and institutions with respect to the estate administration process. She counsels clients with regard to the New York probate system and federal and state tax returns.
Justin Blass, a partner in Herrick’s Corporate Department, represents public and private companies in connection with complex transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic transactions. He also advises clients on general corporate governance matters, entity formations and securities compliance issues. He has particular experience representing clients in the sports, media, and entertainment industries in a variety of matters, including significant M&A transactions. Justin is a member of Herrick’s nationally recognized sports law group, representing clients in the sports industry in various commercial and transactional matters.
Robert Huberman, a partner in Herrick's Real Estate and Land Use and Zoning Groups, advises developers, property owners, attorneys, architects and engineers on all aspects of land use and zoning in New York City. Robert has extensive experience in preparing land use applications and obtaining complex approvals for rezonings, large-scale developments, special permits, authorizations, and certifications from the New York City Planning Commission and New York City Council; variances and special permits from the New York City Board of Standards and Appeals; and zoning resolution determinations (ZRD1s) from the New York City Department of Buildings.
Kamilla B. Rodrigues, a partner in the Real Estate Department, focuses her practice on real estate finance law and represents private and institutional lenders, including domestic and international lenders, in connection with bilateral and syndicated acquisition loans, permanent loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans, revolving credit facilities, corporate financing and intercreditor agreements. She also works on distressed loans across a broad range of asset classes, including multifamily developments, hospitality developments, mixed used projects, industrial buildings, and office and retail buildings. On the borrower side, Kamilla represents developers, real estate investment companies, private individual investors, closely held companies, family offices, funds and public companies in a wide range of transactions.
