Carol Goodman, co-chair of Herrick's Litigation Department and chair of the firm's Employment Practice, spoke to The New York Times about whether or not companies are continuing to insist upon daily attestations or screening questionnaires.

Carol explained that at the beginning of the pandemic, a daily health screening was the only way to identify someone who was COVID positive in the workplace and was not fool proof. Presently, employers have added more reliable measures to identify COVID positive workers and ensure the safety of their workplace such as daily or weekly testing, vaccine mandates, and policies including self-screening, isolation and quarantine procedures.
