4 Ways Employers Can Manage Wandering Workers
Carol Goodman, co-chair of Herrick's Litigation Department and chair of the Employment Practice, spoke to Law360 Employment Authority about remote employees who work in multiple places and how employers can plan accordingly.
Carol offered a few questions employers can ask themselves as they configure their return-to-work arrangements: "What is the company's goal? … Is the goal to retain talent or to recruit talent and be flexible? Or is the goal to encourage employees to be on site because that's what the business requires?"
Carol stressed that “whereever a company chooses their workers to work… that is the workplace” and employers should be mindful of the different state laws that may come into play.
