Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section’s Annual Leadership Retreat

Associate in Herrick's Corporate department and Sports Law group, Jermaine A. Brookshire, Jr., spoke on and moderated panels at the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) Young Lawyers Section's Annual Leadership Retreat. On the first panel, "CLE & Non-CLE Planning," Jermaine discussed the process of planning and executing CLE and non-CLE events, including marketing and planning resources. Jermaine then moderated a panel titled "Why I Keep Coming Back - The Benefits of Being a YLS EC Member," where panelists discussed their leadership experiences as part of CBA's Young Lawyers Section. 

The retreat featured a keynote address by Vanessa Roberts Avery, former U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut and Partner at McCarter & English, LLP. The retreat also featured additional panels, featuring topics like pro bono and public service, lawyer well-being and law school outreach. The Connecticut Bar Association was founded in 1875 and is the preeminent organization for lawyers and the legal profession in Connecticut.
