On Friday, July 19, 2024, Jermaine delivered the keynote address at The Hon. Warren W. Eginton Justice Institute at the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. The Justice Institute is an immersive summer program for high school students who are afforded the opportunity to meet and learn from several attorneys and state and federal judges. On May 30, 2024, Jermaine, Haseeb Khan, Connecticut Office of the Attorney General, and Antoria Howard, Deputy Assistant Attorney General, collaborated as panelists for the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section virtual “lunch and learn” entitled, “Diversity Matters: The Importance of Diversity in the Legal Profession.”
On February 27, 2024, Jermaine was a featured speaker at the New Haven Equitable Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (NHE3) Workshop, “Legacy Planning for Your Business and Personal Success.” Jermaine presented an overview of some of the issues that individuals seeking to start their new business venture should be poised to navigate, as well as key considerations that entrepreneurs should keep in mind during their decision-making to position them to achieve their desired growth.
On November 15, 2023, Jermaine presented on a panel at the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce’s business expo, “The Big Connect.” Jermaine and other panelists presented a session entitled, “Diversifying Nonprofit & For-Profit Boards: Strategies for Inclusive Leadership” where they provided valuable insights and practical strategies for fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion at the highest levels of any organization.
Jermaine participated as a speaker in the 2023 Yale Innovation Summit on a panel entitled, “How to Build a Better Board.” The Yale Innovation Summit is Connecticut’s biggest entrepreneurship event, convening innovators, investors, and industry leaders for panels, speakers, and networking in the arts, biotech, climate, health, and tech spaces.
On April 26, 2023, Jermaine moderated a conversation on behalf of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Health Care and Life Sciences Council that offered perspectives on how different personal styles, expectations, and habits can cause challenges in the workplace, culminating into retention issues if they aren’t carefully managed.
Jermaine spoke at Quinnipiac University School of Medicine on February 23, 2023, to present tips for effective legislative advocacy to practicing physicians, faculty, and medical students in the Health Policy and Advocacy Concentration.
On June 13, 2022, Jermaine moderated and presented a panel at the Connecticut Bar Association’s 2022 Connecticut Legal Conference on the topic of venture capital financings in a program entitled, “Own the Deal: A Panel on Venture Financing Transactions.”
On April 26, 2021, Jermaine co-presented a CLE presentation for the Connecticut Bar Association entitled, “Life Cycle of the Emerging Growth Company: Formation to Liquidity."
