‘Kraken’ COVID-19 Variant Threatens U.S. Workforce
Carol Goodman, co-chair of Herrick's Litigation Department and chair of the firm's Employment Practice, and associate Meaghan Roe, spoke to the Society for Human Resource Management ("SHRM") about preventative measures that employers can take to protect their workforces from the new COVID-19 XBB.1.5 omicron ("Kraken") variant.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ("CDC"), this variant is spreading quickly. The article notes that the CDC's guidance about how people can best protect themselves from serious illness remains the same.
