Mattone Institute – St. John’s University School of Law “Pandemic-Related Real Estate Litigation: Where Do We Stand?” Panel
The Mattone Institute at St. John's University of Law presented a panel titled "Pandemic-Related Real Estate Litigation: Where Do We Stand?" featuring speakers from Herrick.
Over the past 18 months, we have seen a rise from the COVID-19 pandemic an abundance of federal and state litigation that is consequential for the New York real estate community. The matters at issue include the scope and coverage of commercial property insurance, the remedies for defaults under commercial and residential leases, and the ability of mortgagees to foreclose upon mortgages secured by commercial and residential property. At this CLE event, the panelists will explore a number of significant decisions (both widely-reported and less so), take stock of what we have learned, and assess the consequences for New York real estate stakeholders and their counsel.
CLE Credit: This program provided attorney attendees with a maximum of 1.5 non-transitional New York State credit hours.
