Biography
Andrew B. Berman is an associate in the Real Estate department who advises lenders, investment funds, real estate owners, developers and investors on a broad range of complex commercial real estate transactions and related real estate matters.
Andrew represents both borrowers and lenders in structuring, negotiating and closing a variety of financing transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine financings, construction loans, bridge loans, secondary market transactions (including loan sales, note-on-note financings, participations and repurchase agreements) and condominium inventory loans. He also has experience with loan workouts and restructurings, including deed-in-lieu transactions.
Andrew also represents clients in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate and related joint ventures and handles all aspects of such matters, including transaction structuring, due diligence, negotiation of transactional documents, preparation of organizational documents, and title and survey review.
Prior to joining Herrick, Andrew served as in-house counsel at Kushner Companies.
