Irwin Kishner, co-chair of Herrick's Sports Law Group, was quoted in an article in Front Office Sports discussing how athletic departments in the NIL era will have to adapt to accommodate athletes' needs and to keep up with recruiting standards. The article also discusses the potential for building out a brand coaching staff. With respect to whether a school's NIL plan will factor into recruiting, and specifically the transfer market, the article cites Kishner, who noted that second-tier programs know they’re going to have to compete with Power 5 schools to keep their top talent.
