Biography

Roya Imani is an associate in Herrick's Restructuring & Finance Litigation Department where her practice focuses on corporate restructuring matters across industries. Roya has represented debtors, creditors, purchasers of distressed assets and other participants in in-court and out-of-court restructurings. In addition to her corporate restructuring practice, Roya is devoted to pro bono work on behalf of the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, where she reviews case files of convicted individuals seeking post-conviction exoneration.

Prior to joining Herrick, Roya was an associate at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. She also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Robert E. Grossman of the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and to the Hon. Stacey L. Meisel of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.

Outside the office, Roya enjoys writing, languages and linguistics and playing piano.
