Morris F. DeFeo, chair of Herrick's Corporate Department, was quoted in Law.com's Corporate Counsel discussing his former colleague Neil Sitron, who transitioned from private practice to General Counsel at Rivian Automotive, an Irvine, California-based electric truck-maker with a current market value higher than either Ford or General Motors.

The article explained that Sitron and DeFeo first connected with the CEO of Rivian at an auto conference and began working together when he "needed legal help for his young company, and DeFeo and Sitron assisted on a number of fronts, including securing hundreds of millions of dollars in initial financing from a Saudi conglomerate." Sitron subsequently joined Rivian and built its legal department.

DeFeo notes that Sitron has "just the right personality for his role, noting that, "He is not pretentious. He doesn't talk down to people. He is a personable, friendly, approachable person[.]" He added, "That combination of skill and personality is something you don't always find in the legal profession."
