Prep work beginning at embattled wetlands site destined for BJ’s development
Mitchell Korbey, chair of Herrick's Land Use & Zoning Group, was featured in The Staten Island Advance about an upcoming construction project in the Graniteville Wetlands. Mitch's client is the owner of the site, a plot of land slated to become a BJ’s Wholesale development
Mitch explained that an "exhaustive review and sign-off by the State Department of Environmental Protection" has been completed. He added, "we have not fully engaged in our site development program, but we have begun some initial prep work."
Mitch further stated, "We are excited about bringing hundreds of good-paying jobs — with significant potential for advancement — to the neighborhood, as well as an excellent, lower-cost grocery and other shopping opportunities[.]"
