Biography

Lauren A. McDonough is an associate in Herrick's Real Estate Department where she works on a broad range of complex commercial real estate transactions involving the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of single assets and portfolios of multifamily, retail, mixed-use, industrial and office properties.

Lauren works with borrowers and lenders in construction, mortgage, mezzanine and other financing transactions, including note-on-note financing. She reviews organizational documents and diligence items, and drafts loan agreements and ancillary loan documents. She collaborates with lenders on intercreditor and participation agreements by reviewing underlying loan documents and drafting respective agreements. Additionally, Lauren assists in representing landlords and tenants in commercial leases and subleases for office and retail use.

Lauren earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School where she received the CALI Excellence Award for "Accounting for Lawyers," and the prestigious Carswell Scholarship. In law school, Lauren served as the Vice President of the Brooklyn Law Real Estate Society and was a student member of the NYC Bar Association Real Property Law Committee.
