Herrick counsel and co-chair of its Government Relations Group, Hon. Elizabeth Holtzman, was interviewed for "Power Corner" in Crain's New York Business, where she reflected on her career in New York politics.

The article highlighted how in 1972, at age 31, Hon. Holtzman was the youngest woman to be elected to congress, a title she retained for over 40 years. At the time Hon. Holtzman was elected, she had never held elective office, winning against "Emanuel Celler, a Brooklyn machine politician who had spent 50 years in the House of Representatives." This long-shot victory earned her the moniker "Liz the Lion Killer." As a first-term congresswoman, she served on the House Judiciary Committee where she was instrumental in the Watergate Hearings. Additionally, she co-founded the Congressional Caucus on Women's Issues.
