Irwin Kishner was quoted in WIRED regarding Rio’s plans to remove, rebuild or repurpose much of its Olympic infrastructure after the Games end. Rio’s plan follows the lead of the 2012 London Olympics, which had several easily dismantled stadia, by using what the mayor calls “nomadic architecture.” “I think it’s nothing short of a brilliant way to address building such massive infrastructure,” Kishner said. “It adds another option to what can be a very wasteful enterprise.”
