Biography

Marisa Leto litigates complex commercial actions throughout the country. Among her achievements have been: defending and obtaining a summary judgment with costs in a federal action involving products liability claims for a major tire manufacturer, and maintaining a mortgage-foreclosure action in New York state court on behalf of an international bank. Marisa also argued and obtained a complete dismissal with prejudice relating to a defamation action on behalf of a national title insurance company.

Prior to joining Herrick, Marisa served at another law firm as an associate, where she represented clients in international antitrust matters with multi-jurisdictional and parallel civil and criminal components.

Marisa graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and received her law degree from The University of Chicago Law School, where she received the Thomas R. Mulroy Prize for excellence in appellate advocacy and was Executive Editor of the Chicago Journal of International Law.
