Copyrightability of Works Created with Generative AI and Human Authorship
March 22, 2024 – New York Law JournalHerrick counsel, Barry Werbin, authored an article for the New York Law Journal about the copyrightability of work when Artificial Intelligence ("AI") is utilized. In his article, Barry explained that creators using generative AI without meaningful human contributions should presume that the resulting content will not be protected by copyright, apart from potential compilation protection.
