What surprised you most when you joined Herrick?
I was immediately surprised by the number of attorneys who have been at Herrick for almost their entire careers. I also quickly came to understand why. Herrick is a special place with a warm and collegial culture and attorneys who care about each other’s successes and clients. There is definitely an understanding that we are all better off by collaborating on news, knowledge, and experiences, which in turn, benefits our clients tremendously.

How does the flexibility of a mid-sized firm with a deep bench like Herrick accommodate your clients?
Herrick is the best of both worlds – our size allows us to service both mid-size and large clients in a cost effective way, while also having the support of a full service firm when issues outside of my real estate practice arise.

Who have been your greatest mentors or/and who have you partnered most with at Herrick?
I have been fortunate to have been trained by, and worked with, many great Herrick attorneys over the years. But, in particular, Belinda Schwartz has been a wonderful mentor to me and my professional growth.

What is your best advice for someone coming to Herrick?
Assuming you are a junior attorney, ask questions and learn as much as you can from as many people as you can. There are many different styles of doing things and a lot to learn from the attorneys in our department (and Firm). Take the opportunity to do so.
