Etna explained how the decision to ban advertisements likely originated from the MLB not being granted ‘integrity fees’ for legalized sports betting. Etna claims that the situation should have been handled differently, “first of all, I really think the MLB fumbled the ball by asking states to mandate that sports betting operators pay integrity fees. The MLB initially asked for way too much — an impossible number — and the whole thing was not well thought out.”
