Carol Goodman, co-chair of Herrick's Litigation Department and chair of the firm's Employment Practice, moderated a panel discussion at ALM's General Counsel Conference East titled "Labor & Employment Regulatory Landscape: What’s Coming Next?"
Carol and her fellow panelists discussed the myriad of new and amended labor and employment laws that have been going into effect on both national and at the state and local level. The group covered what employers need to be aware of in these changing regulations and how GCs can minimize the likelihood of costly fines and potential lawsuits in the future. This panel additionally shared best practices for in-house counsel to deal with the patchwork of rules in different places and across jurisdictions, including the changing landscapes due to pay equity, remote workforce and the residual effects on policies.
