ULI New York’s Young Leaders Group: Local Law 97 Has Taken Effect… Now What?

Herrick Real Estate partner Brendan Schmitt spoke at a ULI New York Young Leaders Group event titled, "Peer-to-Peer: Local Law 97 Has Taken Effect... Now What?" Over the next three decades, every building in New York City will have to meet a series of gradually more stringent carbon caps, until eventually all buildings will be required to be carbon neutral in 2050.
ULI YLG members heard from lawyers who navigate the rapidly changing regulatory landscape surrounding Local Law 97. Attendees learned how to understand this critical and complex new addition to the NYC regulatory landscape for developers, builders and operators.
