Herrick's Private Equity Practice Group focuses on middle market and lower middle market private equity transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, distressed acquisitions, management buyouts and roll-up strategies. Our private equity clients include private equity funds, hedge funds, independent private equity sponsors and family offices. Our involvement in private equity transactions often begins with our involvement with clients seeking deal flow or our investment bank contacts marketing their deals. Our mid-size profile frequently brings us into contact with family-owned businesses and closely-held companies seeking an exit or a growth financing. In addition, given our full service capabilities, such as employment, litigation, real estate and tax, we are often asked to serve private equity backed companies as an outsourced general counsel.
