Ruth Levy, Counsel

Ruth Levy is counsel in Herrick’s Real Estate Department where she focuses on commercial real estate law, with an emphasis on commercial leasing and ground leasing. She has a deep appreciation of landlords’ and tenants’ needs, a practical, business-forward approach to all aspects of leasing, and the ability to anticipate operational issues and compliance requirements.

Ruth brings to Herrick extensive leasing experience of various asset types, from office and retail leasing, to medical facilities and financial institutions. Ruth possesses a steady, solution-oriented style to high-value deals, an understanding of operational issues of different sectors and occupancies, and effectively advises owners, tenants and investors through the full lifecycle of commercial leasing, from letters of intent to negotiation, execution and portfolio management. 

In addition to leasing, Ruth has broad experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, development projects and joint ventures. 

Ruth has practiced as external counsel with large international law firms, in-house with a major hospitality company and with a top French multinational luxury group.
