Biography
Ruth Levy is counsel in Herrick’s Real Estate Department where she focuses on commercial real estate law, with an emphasis on commercial leasing and ground leasing. She has a deep appreciation of landlords’ and tenants’ needs, a practical, business-forward approach to all aspects of leasing, and the ability to anticipate operational issues and compliance requirements.
Ruth brings to Herrick her extensive experience with office and retail leasing, including both street and mall leasing. Ruth possesses a steady, solution-oriented style to high-value deals and effectively advises owners, tenants and investors through the full lifecycle of commercial leasing, from letters of intent to negotiation, execution and portfolio management.
Prior to joining Herrick, Ruth’s recent experience includes the negotiation of Saint Laurent’s Meatpacking District flagship location on Gansevoort Street in NYC; Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Boucheron leases at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada; Pomelato and Boucheron leases on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California; and the acquisition of a NYC retail condominium at 717 Fifth Avenue.
In addition to leasing, Ruth has broad experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, development projects and joint ventures.
Ruth has practiced as external counsel with large international law firms, in-house with a major hospitality company and with a top French multinational luxury group.
