Preparing for Recalls Before They Happen

Alan Lyons and Ronald Levine authored a bylined article for Food Manufacturing's October issue about how food companies can prepare proactively for a recall. The article discusses the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirement that companies have a recall plan in advance, as well as adequate insurance coverage to hedge against potential losses from conducting recalls, lower sales and diminished consumer goodwill.
