Biography
Michael Shavolian is an associate in Herrick's Real Estate Department where he works on a broad range of complex commercial real estate transactions involving the development, financing, acquisition, disposition and financing of multifamily, retail, mixed-use and office properties.
Michael has additional experience working with the development and financing of affordable housing in New York City and beyond, including work with NYC Housing Preservation and Development, NYC Homes and Community Renewal and local government.
Michael earned his law degree at NYU School of Law as an Engelberg Scholar where he conducted legal and policy research and studied business at NYU Stern.
Prior to joining Herrick, Michael worked on the real estate team at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. Prior to law school, Michael worked for several years in real estate development and asset management.
