Waste Management Company – Secured Dismissal of Discrimination Claim

Successfully defended our client, a waste management company, against allegations of discrimination and retaliation brought by a former employee via a charge filed with the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities ("CHRO") and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ("EEOC"). The complainant, a former truck driver of the company, alleged that he sustained an injury in the workplace and was subsequently discriminated against due to a perceived disability, denied a reasonable accommodation and was wrongfully terminated. The CHRO ultimately issued a finding of no probable cause and awarded a complete dismissal of claims in favor of our client.
