Biography
Maria Francesca Ferrari is counsel in Herrick's Tax Department.
Maria Francesca advises foreign and domestic investors, high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients on the tax and corporate aspects of cross-border transactions, with a particular focus on matters between the United States and Italy. Her practice includes the structuring and tax planning of inbound investments into the United States, cross-border corporate operations, real estate transactions and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Herrick, Maria Francesca founded and managed Peak NYC LLC where she advised clients on the corporate structuring, financing, development and tax planning of international investments. Earlier, she practiced at Clifford Chance, Dewey & LeBoeuf and Paul Hastings in Milan, where she advised investment funds, financial institutions and corporate clients on cross-border M&A, corporate finance, restructurings and project finance transactions.
Maria Francesca earned an LL.M. in International Taxation from New York University School of Law and an LL.M. in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Milan, Italy and is not currently admitted to practice in the United States.
