Herrick’s Turkish Practice is built on a strong, enduring relationship with the Turkish government and business community.
We are proud to be the only mid-sized New York law firm with an office in Istanbul – a testament to our deep connection to Turkey, and our ability to serve as a vital link for Turkish-American interests, both domestically and globally.
Our successes in pioneering lawsuits brought on behalf of the Republic of Turkey to recover its looted cultural treasures provided us with the opportunity to work closely with Turkish Government ministries, agencies and officials. Because of our longstanding ties with Turkey, and the strength of our nationally- recognized real estate department, in 2012, the Republic of Turkey selected Herrick to represent it on all aspects of the development of a new Turkish Center near the United Nations headquarters in New York - the largest Ministry of Foreign Affairs project outside of Turkey.
We pride ourselves in serving as a bridge between American and Turkish business interests in the U.S., Turkey and the MENA (Middle East and North African) markets. Our sophisticated understanding of the Turkish legal system and business community provides an edge to U.S. clients entering or expanding into the Turkish market. Likewise, we serve as lawyers, advisors and business strategists to Turkish entrepreneurs seeking to start or grow their businesses in the U.S. In that regard, we frequently help our Turkish clients by facilitating relationships with both the American government and American business leaders.
