The Art Law Review: Application of Copyright to Art

Herrick counsel Barry Werbin authored a chapter in The Art Law Review discussing how copyright laws apply to artwork. In the chapter, Barry reviewed the history of copyright in the United States, its scope and limitations, the 'exclusive' rights, term lengths, registration, fair use and moral rights, concluding with a timely assessment of copyright's implications for street artists.
