Biography

Philip A. Sanchez, Esq. is counsel in the firm's Litigation Department and the co-chair of the firm's Eminent Domain Practice, bringing with him over two decades of legal experience in both the public and private sectors.

Philip has extensive experience in all aspects of eminent domain law. Over the years, Philip has successfully settled and litigated many cases on behalf of his clients in the New York State Courts at both the trial and appellate levels.

Philip has used his many years of experience in eminent domain and real estate matters to provide aggressive legal representation to his clients. Philip litigates in various New York State Courts, with a focus on representing clients in all stages of eminent domain proceedings.

Philip has been recognized since 2015 by Thomson Reuters' Real Estate Super Lawyers, which identifies lawyers who have achieved a high degree of excellence and professional achievement.

Philip began his career as the Director of the Community Outreach Division at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, where he worked from 1999-2001. From 2001 until 2012, Philip was a partner at the eminent domain law firm of Goldstein, Rikon & Rikon. Prior to joining Herrick, Philip was a founder and named partner at Sanchez & Polovetsky, PLLC.
