US Sports Betting Expansion Is No Slam Dunk
Dan Etna was quoted in the Financial Times, discussing how sports entities and casinos will benefit from the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992. Etna expressed that all entities, including leagues, players, owners and the states will all want a share of the revenue from legalized sports betting. He said, “The states are going to look to this as a new-found legal source of revenue that they can tax. The leagues are saying, hey, at the end of the day people are betting on our product… we want our share of the pie.”
