Milton Mollen Annual Moot Court Competition

The New York Law Journal covered the "Milton Mollen Annual Moot Court Competition" that occurred on October 14 at St. John’s University School of Law. Scott Mollen, Herrick litigation partner, served on the panel of presiding judges. Other judges included:

• Judge Peter Skelos, former associate justice, Appellate Division, Second Department, currently of counsel at Forchelli Deegan Terrana
• Judge Carmen Beauchamp Ciparik, former senior associate judge, New York State Court of Appeals, currently of counsel at Greenberg Traurig
• Judge Joseph Zayes, Appellate Division, Second Department

The case involved the constitutional right against unreasonable search and seizure, and whether the Firearms Owners’ Protection Act allows a defense of "innocent possession."
