How I Made Partner: ‘Make Yourself Someone on Whom People Depend,’ Says Theresa Fortin Balducci of Herrick Feinstein

Theresa Fortin Balducci, partner in Herrick's Private Clients Department, was profiled in Law.com's How I Made Partner Q&A series. Theresa discussed how she has navigated her legal career and why she initially decided to join Herrick. 

In the interview, Theresa advises associates who want to make partner to "[g]et out there and talk to people, build a network. Volunteer to take on work, follow through with a good product, and be consistent. Make yourself someone on whom people depend." She also notes with respect to lessons learned in her career that it is key to remain patient and stay the course to manage balance. It is also key to constantly ask questions -- "you're surrounded by smart people - utilize that resource." 

Theresa also credits her mentors -- Carolyn Caufield and Christina Mason as some of the greatest influences in her career stating "[t]hey are not only extraordinarily intelligent, but also willing to invest themselves in my training and my career. That was a key element that attracted me to join their team."
