Arthur Jakoby, partner and co-chair of Herrick's Securities Litigation and Enforcement Group, spoke with Barron's about the Wells Notice the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") recently issued to Coinbase Global and the potential impact on the crypto community.
The article highlighted that the SEC's challenge to Coinbase comes following a multitude of federal investigations, enforcement actions and charges against crypto companies, celebrities and entrepreneurs.
The article noted that the SEC is not likely to backdown from their challenge to Coinbase. "Rarely is the agency dissuaded from bringing an action after issuing a Wells notice," explained Arthur.
