Herrick Feinstein Adds Talent Acquisition Director
Herrick's Director of Talent Acquisition and Professional Development, Morgan C. Dufault, was interviewed by Law360 Pulse about her recent move to Herrick. Morgan said of Herrick, "I really love that it's a full-service New York-based firm with an incredible reputation[.]" She reflected, "After interviewing, I was really enamored with the firm moving forward and it felt like the right opportunity for me because the people here are incredible and committed to the areas in which they practice."
Barbaros M. Karaahmet, Herrick's Chief Operating Partner, stated, "Morgan brings a wealth of legal recruiting expertise with her, and I have no doubt she will be instrumental in furthering our growth as a firm... At Herrick, we pride ourselves on bringing together some of the most talented attorneys in their respective industries, and with Morgan's impressive track record, we're confident we will continue to attract high-caliber attorneys ready for the next exciting step in their careers."
The article noted that Morgan will be focused on the recruiting and onboarding of new hires, as well as the professional development of attorneys at Herrick. She explained, "Talent acquisition is always great to bring individuals to the firm, but then having oversight of professional development to ensure their continued success at the firm is also a unique and challenging opportunity," adding, "Those two things are intimately close to my heart and this allows me to take my previous experiences to a mid-sized firm where I can really own them for the lawyers' and firm's overall betterment."
Morgan indicated that, because Herrick is a mid-size firm, she will be able to take a more intimate approach with both aspects of her role. She stated, "Leveraging the network I have and working with the attorneys internally, gives me more of a personal approach to the work that I do... there's something to be said about being at a mid-sized firm where everybody's under one roof and you get an opportunity to meet with lawyers more frequently and strategize on hiring initiatives in a challenging market."
The article concluded by highlighting the firm's notable growth: "In recent years, Herrick Feinstein has grown significantly, adding 60 attorneys to a variety of practice groups, including real estate, litigation, trusts and estates, employment, corporate and tax. Notable additions include eminent domain attorney Jennifer Polovetsky, who joined as of counsel in November; transactional partner Mark A. Limardo, who joined in October; and litigation partner John H. Chun, who joined in September."
