Board proposes another rent increase for NYC apartments
Herrick partner, Scott Mollen, appeared on PIX11 discussing the Rent Guidelines Board proposing another rent increase for New York City’s rent-stabilized apartments.
Scott spoke about the preliminary vote that took place on April 30, 2025, where the nine-person Rent Guidelines Board proposed setting rent increases between 1.75% and 4.75% for one-year leases and between 4.75% and 7.75% for two-year leases.
Scott previously served on the Rent Guidelines Board in the late 1970s and became chair of the board under Mayor Ed Koch.
