Irwin Kishner, co-chair of Herrick's Sports Law Group, was quoted in an article in Sportico discussing the 2021 NBA Draft as well as two highly touted prospects, one of whom elected to go to the G League and another of whom elected to play in college. The article discusses the various considerations for declaring for the G League as opposed to playing for the collegiate basketball system.  

In the interview, Kishner stated that he "understands the decision-making process behind choosing the G League."

"The fact is, you can make a little more money in the G League as it’s currently structured," said Kishner. "I think the level of play in the G League and the top collegiate play is pretty close, I don’t think there’s a significant difference between a G League game and an elite eight game. At the same time, G League doesn’t get a lot of attention, and the tournament does."
