Irwin Kishner was quoted in Law360 regarding leadership strategies that law firm leaders should consider to manage more effectively. Kishner, chairman of Herrick’s Executive Committee, discussed the importance of communicating not only the substance of decisions, but also the why. "You're not going to please everyone all the time, but ... you should nevertheless be able to communicate with the people you've been entrusted to lead, to explain on a coherent basis why certain actions are being taken,” Kishner said. He added that firm leaders must delegate correctly by putting the right people in charge of the right areas. "There's much that needs to be done, and in the most efficient organizations, particularly large ones where there's so much human interaction, you have to delegate the functions appropriately," he said.
