Biography

Menahem Grossman is an associate in Herrick's Tax Department. He advises individuals and business entities on a variety of tax issues, with a focus on real estate transactional work. He advises clients on the structuring and tax consequences of various transactions, including sales and acquisitions, refinancings, joint venture formations and split-ups, and corporate combinations and spinoffs. Menahem also advises clients on implementing REIT structures, including advice on REIT formation and ongoing compliance. In addition, Menahem has represented businesses and individuals with respect to income tax audits before the IRS and in federal court, and with respect to state and local audits of real estate transfer tax and sales and use taxes.

While attending law school, Menahem was a Kent scholar and an editor of the Columbia Journal of Tax Law. Before joining Herrick, he was an associate at Roberts and Holland LLP.
