Biography

Jennifer Polovetsky, Esq. is counsel in the firm's Litigation and Real Estate Departments, and the chair of the firm's Eminent Domain Practice. She is a seasoned attorney with many years of both litigation and transactional real estate experience, with a focus in eminent domain law. Jennifer strives to provide every client of the firm with outstanding legal services, personalized attention, and the utmost respect. Jennifer litigates in various New York State Courts, with a focus on representing clients in all stages of eminent domain proceedings. Jennifer also represents clients in transactional real estate matters, with a focus on commercial real properties.

Jennifer Polovetsky (formerly Jennifer Goykhman) began her career over two decades ago as an assistant corporation counsel at the NYC Law Department, Office of the Corporation Counsel, Tax & Bankruptcy Litigation Division (formerly the Tax & Condemnation Division). While working at the NYC Law Department, Jennifer represented the City of New York in all matters concerning eminent domain and property tax. After leaving City service, Jennifer moved to private practice at Tuchman, Korngold, et. al. where she represented owners of residential and commercial properties, real estate developers and real estate management companies.

In 2010, Jennifer founded the Law Offices of Jennifer Polovetsky, Esq., PLLC, where she represented property owners, developers, and commercial tenants in real estate and eminent domain matters.

Jennifer has been recognized since 2015 by Thomson Reuters'  Real Estate Super Lawyers, which identifies lawyers who have achieved a high degree of excellence and professional achievement, and she has been included in the Super Lawyers Top Women Attorneys for the New York Metro Area since 2016.
