Utah District Court Issues First Preliminary Injunction Against Aereo
February 28, 2014 – The New York State Bar Association EASL BlogBarry Werbin had his article posted on the New York State Bar Association EASL Blog regarding a recent decision issued by Judge Dale Kimball of the Utah Federal Court barring Aereo from retransmitting programs within the Tenth Circuit, which covers the states of Utah, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Wyoming. The order makes Utah the first court to issue a preliminary injunction against the disruptive provider of dime-size antennae over-the-air rebroadcast services.
