New York Yankees/New Era Pinstripe Bowl Charity Golf Tournament

May 20, 2015

Herrick sponsored the fifth annual New York Yankees/New Era Pinstripe Bowl Charity Golf Tournament. Several Herrick partners joined Yankees alumni, WFAN's Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton, and local players and coaches at the tournament, which in its first four years has raised more than $250,000 for charity. Net proceeds from this year's tournament benefitted the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Pediatric Cancer Center, the Boomer Esiason Foundation and Tic Toc Stop.

Herrick's sports law group proudly advised an affiliate of the New York Yankees in the creation of the New Era Pinstripe Bowl in 2010. We negotiated the telecast agreement with ESPN, the title sponsorship agreement and the agreements with the Big 12 and Big East Conferences. Since then the New Era Pinstripe Bowl has seen increased attendance in each of its first five years of existence. In 2014, a record sellout crowd of 49,012 saw Penn State defeat Boston College – the bowl's highest all-time attendance figure.
