CenterForce: Driving Diversity in Law & Leadership Summit

Carol Goodman, co-chair of Herrick's Litigation Department and chair of the firm's Employment Practice, participated in a panel discussion titled "Developing a Dynamic Alliance: Legal & HR Working Together to Accelerate DEI" at the CenterForce: Driving Diversity in Law & Leadership Summit. 

The Diversity in Law & Leadership Summit is dedicated to creating a platform for 150+ legal industry leaders, in house counsel and stakeholders to collaborate and exchange ideas in an open dialogue to inspire real, sustainable change in DEI initiatives. Carol, along with fellow industry leaders, discussed how today's business environment is gravitating towards the necessity of cross-collaboration among disciplinary and organizational boundaries to overcome unconscious bias and discriminatory practices.

• How leaders from different departments can come together to drive DEI initiatives
• Interdepartmental policies, programs, and trainings that work
• Why legal and HR should in some cases decide together on which law firms to bring in as outside counsel
