Biography

Casey E. Murphy is an Associate in the Private Clients Department. Casey has a wide range of experience in estate planning, contested and uncontested Surrogate’s Court proceedings, and counseling clients through the trust and estate administration process.

Casey earned her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 2021. While attending law school at night, she worked as a paralegal for a sole practitioner, where she engaged primarily in MHL Article 81 and SCPA Article 17-A guardianship proceedings. Casey also participated in the NYSBA Real Property Law Section Internship Program, interning for a sole practitioner specializing in construction law, commercial litigation, and real estate transactions.

At St. John’s, Casey was a member of the Real Property Law Society and mentored first year law students. She graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in psychology and a minor in sociology. She was also a member of the International Honor Society in Psychology (Psi Chi) and Alpha Kappa Delta, which promotes high scholarship and scholarly endeavors.

After graduating from Loyola Maryland, Casey volunteered for a year through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps at Providence Center, a North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to education and community development.
