New York State Bar Association Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section Annual Meeting – Part II
Herrick is a proud sponsor of the New York State Bar Association's Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section (EASL) 2021 annual meeting. Herrick counsel Barry Werbin serves as Chair of EASL, and was in attendance at its Annual Meeting Virtual Conference. The conference offered three distinct programs: The Impact of COVID-19 on Sports: A Legal Perspective, discussing the future and potential long term impact of the pandemic on world sports; ADR/Fine Arts, a two-part program focusing on arbitration & mediation and how they are well-suited for the arts and entertainment fields, particularly during the pandemic; and Diversity, a two-part program focusing on promoting diversity and inclusion in book publishing, and examining systemic bias and other impediments that have permitted racial inequality and injustice to continue in publishing.
