Irwin A. Kishner was quoted in the Charlotte Business Journal regarding whether the owner of the Carolina Panthers would be bringing a Major League Soccer team to Charlotte. Under this potential agreement, the MLS Charlotte team would be sharing Bank of America's Stadium with the NFL team. With respect to the bid to put MLS in an NFL stadium, Kishner is quoted as saying, "[i]s a soccer-specific stadium what MLS has set as a general rule?  Absolutely.  Have there been exceptions? Absolutely. Atlanta, for example, MLS is evaluating it on the totality of circumstance: Does soccer make sense (in a particular city) and why?" As the article notes, Kishner "has extensive experience in MLS and other sports leagues structuring team sales and purchases as well as naming rights, sponsorships, intellectual property, credit facilities and media contracts."
