Dan Etna was quoted in Bloomberg BNA, discussing the NBA and MLB’s lobbying effort to authorize sports betting on a state level, should the U.S. Supreme Court lift the federal ban. The leagues see Indiana’s sports betting legislation as the most favorable as it includes the 1 percent integrity fee. Etna stated that, “in states that don’t provide for that integrity fee, it becomes problematic for the NBA and MLB because they don’t want to be shut out of the revenue waterfront on these gambling platforms.”
