Nicholas P. Melillo is an associate in Herrick's Real Estate Department focusing primarily on the representation of financial institutions, private lenders, investors, developers and borrowers in commercial real estate transactions and other financial matters. Nick has experience representing clients in a wide range of real estate, corporate and financial matters, including mortgage lending, land use and real estate development, commercial leasing, joint ventures, sales and acquisitions of office buildings, schools and other commercial and mixed-use properties, project and construction finance, commercial contract review, corporate governance matters, secured and unsecured lending, asset-based financing, syndicated lending, participations, debt restructuring and workouts, and operations and compliance.
Prior to joining Herrick, Nick was an associate at Cullen and Dykman LLP, where he concentrated in the areas of commercial leasing, real estate, corporate and banking transactions. During law school, Nick was the Managing Editor of the Touro Law Review and participated in a judicial clerkship fellowship with the Hon. Leonard D. Wexler, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
