Jonathan Adelsberg focuses his real estate practice on sales, acquisitions, financings, workouts, restructurings, joint ventures and construction projects.

As co-chair of Herrick's Commercial Leasing Practice, Jonathan also leases millions of square feet of office, retail and industrial space throughout the country for a wide range of owners and tenants.

Jonathan has served as national real estate counsel to publicly traded companies including Wachovia Bank, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Instinet and Thomson Reuters. He also advises LVMH Moët Hennessy in connection with the acquisition, development and leasing of office and retail properties.

Jonathan played a critical role in revitalizing New York City's Times Square area through his involvement in two historic real estate transactions.  He represented developer Tishman on the acquisition and retail leasing of the E Walk at 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue in Times Square—one of the busiest blocks in the world. The project included a major hotel and movie theater, a well-known concert venue,  fashion stores and restaurants.  Jonathan also acted as counsel to Reuters News Service in connection with the development and relocation  of its headquarters at 3 Times Square, one of the first buildings built in New York in the new millennium.

Jonathan has been honored as one of the top real estate practicioners in the U.S. by Legal 500's US edition, a directory which ranks law firms and attorneys based on client reviews.

Jonathan is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), where  he lectures regularly on retail leasing, construction and financing issues at the national ICSC law conference.
